Hiring a canal boat for the day offers a great day out with family and friends, and it’s a chance to find out what it’s like to take a canal boat holiday.

Full tuition is included, so if you are you new to canal boating you can learn how to steer the boat, travel through a lock and moor up.

Our operators offer day boat hire from 20 locations across England and Wales, each with a choice of routes.

All our day boats have plates, cups, knives, forks, and most also have a toilet, cooker and fridge.  So you can enjoy a picnic afloat or stop off at a canalside pub along the way.
